The Role of Local Posts
The Catholic War Veterans (CWV) is a national Veterans Service Organization with it’s headquarters located in Bellerose, NY. Local posts serve as community hubs where members can gather, participate in activities, and support one another, with each post typically representing a specific region or locality.
Membership in the CWV usually involves affiliating with a local post, providing opportunities for members to actively engage with the organization’s mission, national programs, and supporting local veteran, civic and church activities within the community.
Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary (CWVA) units may be established within a post. The Auxiliary members play a vital role assisting the Post to carry out the mission of the CWV and its related efforts for national and community program activity.
